60 Round PMAG Drum Design
The Magpul PMAG D-60 provides a 60-round capacity while keeping a relatively compact profile. Magpul designed the drum for 5.56×45 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition. In addition, its feed tower follows the standard AR15/M4 magazine pattern.
The D-60 also uses Magpul’s polymer construction. As a result, it offers a different design from older steel drum magazines. Its round body and short overall height make the D-60 easy to recognize among modern AR magazines.
GEN M3 Compatibility
Magpul lists the D-60 for a wide range of compatible 5.56 firearms. These include the AR15, M4, M16, HK416, MR556, FN SCAR 16/16S, and M27 IAR, among others.
The factory packaging also lists several of these platforms. Therefore, the original box adds useful product information while making this example more complete for resale or collection.
Original Magpul Box and Paperwork
This example includes its original brown PMAG D-60 GEN M3 box. The factory graphics remain clear and show the drum magazine on the front. In addition, the original paperwork is visible inside the package.
Having the factory packaging makes this example especially attractive compared with a loose used magazine. Overall, this Magpul PMAG D-60 is a clean factory drum with its original box and paperwork.
