The MSA M13A2 filter is an original U.S. military chemical and biological protective filter set. This example shows Part No. 303924, Lot MSA-8-199, and a cure date of August 1985. It remains sealed in its square white MIL-B-117E barrier packaging. As a result, the internal filtration media has remained protected from environmental exposure.

Manufactured by Mine Safety Appliances, this filter supported U.S. military mask systems during the late Cold War. During the 1980s, defense planners emphasized chemical readiness across multiple branches. Therefore, sealed dated filters from this period carry strong historical context.
