Sealed Colt LE6920 Upper Receiver Assembly
The Colt LE6920 is Colt’s civilian and law-enforcement M4-style carbine, built around the AR-15 / M4 pattern with a 16-inch barrel and 5.56 NATO chambering. This upper follows that same familiar configuration, with a carbine-length layout, round ribbed handguards, front sight tower, and flat-top receiver rail.
This is an upper receiver assembly only. No lower receiver is included.
Construction / Configuration / Pattern
The upper has a black anodized flat-top receiver with Picatinny rail, forward assist housing, ejection port cover, and standard M4-style profile. The barrel is a Colt 16-inch chrome-lined 5.56 NATO barrel with 1/7 twist rifling. The front end is fitted with a fixed front sight base and A2-style flash hider.
The handguard is the standard black ribbed M4-style carbine handguard. The assembly is supplied with the original Colt upper receiver assembly box, blue protective bag, and Colt safety / instruction paperwork.
The configuration is well suited for a Colt LE6920 build, replacement upper, or factory-correct M4-style carbine project.
Historical Context / Pattern Development
The LE6920 is one of Colt’s best-known commercial M4-style carbines. It follows the general profile of the military M4 carbine while using a civilian-legal 16-inch barrel instead of the shorter military barrel length. The result is a carbine with Colt’s familiar M4 handling characteristics, fixed front sight base, flat-top receiver, and 5.56 NATO chambering.
Colt’s M4-style carbines have long been associated with law-enforcement, military-pattern, and collector-grade AR-15 configurations. The 1/7 twist chrome-lined barrel is a key feature of the pattern, intended for use with a broad range of 5.56 NATO projectiles, including heavier bullet weights commonly associated with military-style loads.
Condition
Sealed. New in box. The upper receiver assembly appears unused and remains with its original Colt box, protective packaging, and paperwork. The exterior finish is clean, with only minimal handling from storage and inspection expected.
The box shows normal storage and handling wear, including creasing, edge wear, and scuffs. The upper itself presents as a factory Colt LE6920-pattern assembly with strong original finish and clean components.
