Description
German NSDAP political event badge produced for the Kreistag held May 22–23, 1937 in the Aschaffenburg and Alzenau area. The rectangular badge features a large German eagle and swastika above a detailed city scene. The inscriptions “ASCHAFFENBURG” and “ALZENAU” appear along the sides. “N.S.D.A.P.” appears across the top, while “KREISTAG 22.–23.5.1937” identifies the event and dates. The bronze-colored surface shows substantial age-related patina, oxidation, finish loss, and areas of verdigris. The reverse retains its horizontal pin assembly. Please carefully review all photographs for the condition, markings, construction, and completeness of the badge.
The 1937 Aschaffenburg Alzenau Kreistag Badge commemorates a regional NSDAP district gathering held on May 22 and 23, 1937. Period Kreistag gatherings served as organized political events at the district level. Surviving examples of this exact badge are documented as gilt or bronze-colored stamped metal pieces. The architectural scene and location names connect the design directly with the local event. This example represents a political rally and event badge rather than a military award or combat decoration.
