This example is an authentic Luftwaffe Flak Badge (Flak-Kampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe)
The badge is constructed of tombac, with a well-defined obverse showing the classic Flak Badge design: an oval oak-leaf wreath surrounding an 8.8 cm anti-aircraft gun in firing position, surmounted by the Luftwaffe eagle clutching a swastika. The detailing to the wreath, gun shield, and eagle remains sharp, with good depth and clarity throughout the design.
The reverse is plain and fitted with a stamped steel hinge and clasp, The pin assembly remains intact and functional.
Accompanying the badge is a square presentation case finished in black faux leather with a push-button opening. The interior is lined in blue rayon, with a matching hinge cover and a blue felt badge insert. The exterior lid is embossed in gold lettering reading “Flak Kampf Abz.”.
