Hensoldt Wetzlar 2½x17.5mm Scope with Mount
Authentic Hensoldt Wetzlar 2½x17.5mm rifle scope with its original mounting system, produced by the renowned German optics manufacturer Hensoldt & Söhne of Wetzlar. Known for their precision and clarity, Hensoldt scopes were widely respected during the interwar and WWII periods for use on sporting rifles and select military applications.
This example features crisp, clear optics and a German T post reticle, typical of German optical engineering. The steel tube construction shows light handling wear and retains much of its original blued finish. The included mount remains has seen better days, one screw is missing and the mount will need to be reconditioned to properly mount to a rifle.
A fine example of precision German craftsmanship, ideal for collectors of early optical instruments, hunting rifles, or WWII-era marksman equipment.
