Description
This is an original WWII German enlisted man’s sleeve eagle for the Reichsministerium für die besetzten Ostgebiete (RMfdbO), or Reich Ministry for the Occupied Eastern Territories.
The insignia is machine-embroidered on dark cloth, featuring a spread-winged eagle clutching a swastika in its talons, the standard motif used across Third Reich political and paramilitary organizations. The eagle design for the RMfdbO was similar in form to political eagles but designated specifically for officials and enlisted men serving in the administrative and security structures of the occupied eastern territories.
The patch shows light age toning and minor wear but remains in solid collectible condition, with crisp embroidery. Items from the RMfdbO are significantly rarer than standard NSDAP or Wehrmacht insignia, as the ministry operated in limited areas and for a relatively short period during the war.
