Description
This is an original Hitlerjugend (HJ) district sleeve insignia triangle for West Westfalen. The patch is made from black cloth with white machine-embroidered lettering spelling “West Westfalen”, bordered in white, and designed to be worn on the upper left sleeve of the HJ uniform tunic.
The West Westfalen triangle represented members of the Hitler Youth organization from the Westphalia region of Germany. District triangles were introduced to denote the area of service and membership, making them an essential part of HJ uniform insignia.
This example shows period wear and light age toning, consistent with its age, but remains in very good condition with crisp embroidery. A highly collectible piece of Third Reich uniform insignia, representing a specific district of the HJ structure.
