This is an original WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) enlisted man’s steel belt buckle, complete with its original leather strap. The buckle features the classic embossed Wehrmacht eagle and wreath design, standard issue for EM/NCO personnel during the war.
The leather strap is clearly marked “Stefan Merkel 1938”, confirming early pre-war production. The buckle itself shows service wear consistent with age, and one corner exhibits visible damage, though the piece remains structurally solid. The leather strap is intact with legible markings.
