Original WWII German 8x56R M.30 Scharfe S-Patronen Rottw. Ammunition with Two Pre-Loaded En-Bloc Clips – Waffenampt Marked

This is an original box of WWII German 8x56R M.30 scharfe S-Patronen Rottw. ammunition, specifically issued for the Steyr-Mannlicher M95 series straight-pull rifles and carbines. The box is wartime manufacture, constructed from period-correct cardboard with intact printed labeling, showing authentic age and patina. Inside are two original 5-round steel en-bloc clips, each loaded with factory ammunition for a total of 10 cartridges. Both the clips and the box bear clear Waffenampt acceptance stamps, verifying official German military inspection and reissue.

The M.30 scharfe S-Patronen was the standard cartridge for the Austrian Steyr-Mannlicher M95 and its M95/30 conversions. After the Anschluss and subsequent German occupation of Central and Eastern Europe, the Wehrmacht absorbed large quantities of these rifles and their ammunition into service. Issued primarily to rear-echelon troops, security units, and second-line forces, this ammunition was repackaged under German oversight with full acceptance markings.

Each clip features the distinctive Mannlicher en-bloc design, intended to be inserted into the rifle’s internal magazine and ejected automatically after the last round is fired. The cartridges themselves retain their original wartime headstamps, making them valuable both as historical display items and as reference specimens for serious collectors.

Complete, Waffenampt-marked wartime boxes with matching en-bloc clips are increasingly scarce, especially in this condition. This set is ideal for display alongside a WWII German or Austrian-issued Steyr M95, or as part of a comprehensive German militaria collection.
