WWII German Luftwaffe Dress Dagger – 2nd Model, White Grip
This original WWII-era Luftwaffe Dress Dagger is a textbook example of the 2nd Model pattern adopted in 1937 for use by officers of the German Air Force. This variant features the desirable spiral white grip—celluloid over a wood core—paired with the iconic nickel-plated blade and intricate aluminum fittings that distinguished the Luftwaffe’s formal dress accoutrements.
The pommel bears the classic downturned Luftwaffe eagle clutching a swastika, with crisp detail throughout the crossguard and scabbard. The blade is bright and straight, double-edged, and marked as Eickhorn. These daggers were worn with the walking-out dress uniform and were never intended for field use, but rather as status symbols of officer rank and military prestige.
This particular example includes its original scabbard with suspension rings intact.
