Description

This is an original WWII German P38 hardshell leather holster for the Walther P38, manufactured in 1943 by Karl Weiss Lederwarenfabrik and marked with “cww 43” on the rear panel. The holster is constructed from thick black leather and remains in excellent condition, with a tight body, complete stitching, and a fully functional closure strap.

Beneath the maker’s code is a Waffenamt WaA392, the correct German Army acceptance mark assigned to Karl Weiss. The interior features the standard spare magazine pouch and is correctly molded for the Walther P.38 service pistol. The leather shows only light wear, with great gloss retention and no major structural issues.

Hardshell holsters like this were standard issue in the early to mid-war years before simplified softshell variants became more common. The “cww” code is less frequently encountered than manufacturers like “jwa” or “gxy,” making this a desirable piece for collectors seeking maker variation or those assembling a full year-by-year set.

Whether you’re a serious P.38 collector or building out a full Wehrmacht equipment display, this 1943 Karl Weiss holster is a clean and representative example of German field gear from the midwar period.
