Description
Original USGI PASGT Front Bracket Mount – U.S. Military Night Vision Helmet Hardware
Offered here is an original U.S. military PASGT front bracket mount, the standardized component used to attach night vision devices to the PASGT (Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops) helmet. Issued throughout the 1980s, 1990s, and into the early stages of the Global War on Terror, this front bracket served as the foundation for mounting NVG systems such as the AN/PVS-7 and AN/PVS-14 when paired with a compatible Rhino or swing arm mount.
The bracket is constructed of stamped steel with a blackened finish, designed to be bolted directly to the Kevlar shell of the PASGT helmet using the original hardware. Its rugged and straightforward construction made it a durable interface for field use across multiple environments. Markings and finish are consistent with U.S. contract production, reflecting its authentic military origin.
This example remains in good serviceable condition, showing light handling wear and surface patina from age, but with no structural damage or repairs. Mounting holes are intact, and the overall bracket retains full usability. Many later helmet systems phased out the PASGT, making original brackets like this increasingly scarce as surplus supplies diminish.
The PASGT front bracket mount is not only a functional piece of U.S. military night vision gear but also a collectible artifact representing the transition era of American infantry equipment from the Cold War through the early 21st century.
An excellent addition for collectors of U.S. military hardware, NVG accessories, or for completing an original PASGT helmet rig.
