Spanish–American War Era U.S. 57mm Artillery Round, Winchester Manufacture (INERT)

An original U.S. 57mm artillery shell casing and projectile, manufactured by Winchester, dating to the Spanish–American War era. The round consists of a brass cartridge case paired with its corresponding projectile, correctly proportioned and representative of late 19th–early 20th century U.S. light artillery ammunition. Winchester-manufactured examples are well regarded for their quality of production and historical association with early American artillery development.
