Description
Original Remington M1903 Bolt Assembly – WWII U.S. Military Rifle Part
This is an original M1903 bolt assembly manufactured by Remington Arms during World War II—an essential component for restoring a correct U.S. service rifle or upgrading a shooter with a period-correct bolt. Built to Ordnance specifications and marked accordingly, this bolt reflects the wartime production that kept America’s arsenal stocked as the nation entered global conflict.
Remington began producing M1903 rifles in 1941, initially using tooling and parts transferred from Rock Island Arsenal. While Springfield Armory shifted to the M1 Garand, Remington continued M1903 production to meet the urgent demand for bolt-action rifles. Many of these were issued for training, Lend-Lease, and stateside service, with some seeing front-line use early in the war.
This bolt features the correct straight handle, safety lug, and Remington machining marks common to wartime production. It includes the complete bolt body, extractor, safety, cocking piece, and striker—fully functional and ready to install. Many carry “R” or “R marked” parts, making them especially desirable for Remington-marked rifles or restoration projects focused on accuracy.
Whether you’re completing a Remington M1903, repairing a mixmaster, or building a historically faithful shooter, this is an increasingly hard-to-find piece of WWII U.S. ordnance history.
