Description
Exceptional and rare WWII German Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) leader’s brocade belt, officially known as the “Feldbinde für Führer des RAD”, complete with its original officer’s buckle manufactured by Assmann. Dated 1937
The belt is constructed of high-quality silver/aluminum brocade with woven tan/gold stripes, backed with soft brown fabric. The matching two-piece officer’s buckle is gilt/aluminum and features the RAD spade with swastika, surrounded by a wreath of stylized ears of wheat. The reverse is clearly marked with the Assmann manufacturer’s hallmark, one of the premier German uniform accessory makers of the era.
This brocade belt was worn exclusively by leaders of the RAD (National Labor Service) on dress and parade uniforms, making it significantly rarer than the more commonly encountered Wehrmacht officer’s belts.
Total Lenght is 40 Inches
