Description
This is an authentic WWII German Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) EM/NCO belt buckle, known as a Koppelschloß. Constructed of stamped metal, the buckle features the distinctive spade with swastika emblem, framed by stylized wheat sheaves, with the motto “Arbeit Adelt” (Work Ennobles) above.
The reverse is maker marked “H. Aurich” and dated 1938, identifying it as an early pre-war production buckle from one of the recognized German manufacturers. The buckle shows honest service wear and patina, but retains excellent detail.
