Description
This is an authentic WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) enlisted man’s belt buckle, constructed of steel and retaining its original leather tab. The buckle is maker-marked “RS&S” (Richard Sieper & Söhne, Lüdenscheid) on the reverse, one of the most prolific buckle manufacturers of the period.
The attached leather tab is clearly stamped “R. Sieper & Söhne 1940”, confirming early-war production. The buckle features the embossed Heer eagle with swastika surrounded by a laurel wreath and the “Gott Mit Uns” motto, standard issue for enlisted men and NCOs.
The steel body shows typical service wear and patina, while the leather tab remains intact and legible. A fine, well-documented example of a tabbed Heer buckle with both buckle and tab from the same respected manufacturer.
