Description
This is an authentic WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) enlisted man’s belt buckle, produced in lightweight aluminum. The buckle is maker-marked “B.N.” (Berg & Nolte, Lüdenscheid) and also features the Assmann triangle hallmark, confirming manufacture by one of the premier German buckle suppliers of the period.
The front displays the classic Wehrmacht eagle with swastika, encircled by a laurel wreath and the “Gott Mit Uns” motto. On the reverse, in addition to the maker codes, the buckle is stamped “GES. GESCH.”, meaning “legally protected”, a common marking on wartime German equipment.
This example shows wear, patina, and field use, consistent with its age. An excellent representative piece for any WWII German militaria collection.
