Description
Authentic WWII German Waffen-SS enlisted man’s belt buckle, constructed of stamped steel and marked A&S for Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid.
This buckle originally featured the SS runes surrounded by an oak leaf wreath with the motto “Meine Ehre heißt Treue” (My Honor is Loyalty). However, the front has been heavily polished, which has significantly worn down the details — the motto is now no longer legible, and much of the surface appears smooth from over-cleaning.
Despite this, the reverse remains properly marked A&S, confirming manufacture by Assmann, one of the most respected wartime buckle makers. The steel construction and form are correct for wartime Waffen-SS issue, typically used by enlisted men and NCOs from around 1940 onward.
