Original German WWII Spange to the Iron Cross, 2nd Class, Type II, with Presentation Box
(Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz 2. Klasse)
An original example of the Spange to the Iron Cross Second Class, Type II, awarded to recipients who had previously earned the Iron Cross during the First World War and were subsequently recognized for service in the Second World War. The clasp is well-executed with crisp detail and retains its original finish, presenting in excellent overall condition.
The award remains mounted on its correct black and silver ribbon, which is still present and well preserved.
Accompanying the clasp is its original presentation box, finished in faux black leather. The interior features a white rayon lid liner with a black velvet insert, and the lid is embossed with a silver stamped representation of the award. The case remains intact and suitable for display.
A highly desirable and complete example, preserved in great condition, and an essential addition to any advanced collection of German WWII decorations.
