Description
Original German WWII Kriegsmarine enlisted man’s belt buckle, constructed of stamped steel and finished in gilt paint typical for naval issue.
The face displays the regulation Wehrmacht eagle clutching a swastika, set above an oak leaf wreath encircling the “Gott Mit Uns” motto. Unlike Heer and Luftwaffe examples, Kriegsmarine buckles were distinct in their golden/yellow finish, designed for wear with naval uniforms.
This buckle is unmarked, but is a correct wartime production example consistent with standard enlisted/NCO issue throughout the war. A staple piece of German naval regalia, these buckles were worn aboard ship, in coastal artillery units, and by enlisted personnel across the Kriegsmarine.
