Description
An outstanding and rare German WWII Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend) belt buckle, constructed of painted steel and retaining its original paper issue tag.
This buckle was manufactured by Assmann & Söhne of Lüdenscheid, one of the most respected and prolific producers of German insignia and buckles during the Third Reich. The face displays the Hitler Youth diamond with swastika, centered in a circular oak leaf wreath with the motto “Blut und Ehre!” (Blood and Honor!).
The reverse is properly RZM-marked for Assmann, with the paper tag still present — an extremely rare survival that greatly enhances both desirability and value. These buckles were issued to members of the Hitler Youth for wear on their uniforms and are among the most iconic pieces of political regalia from the period.
