German Nazi Dress Bayonet – Unmarked (No Scabbard)
Offered here is an original German Nazi-era dress bayonet from the World War II period, notably unmarked and without scabbard. These dress bayonets were worn by Wehrmacht enlisted men and NCOs as part of the parade and walking-out uniforms, designed more for appearance than battlefield use. While lacking functional combat utility, these bayonets were nonetheless robustly constructed and became a standard part of Third Reich military regalia.
This example retains its classic features: a bright, nickel-plated blade, full-length and showing only light surface wear, paired with checkered black Bakelite grip panels secured with domed rivets. The eagle-head-style pommel with press stud sits atop a solid hilt with no maker’s mark, suggesting it was either privately purchased or produced by one of the many lesser-known wartime subcontractors. While the scabbard is missing, the bayonet itself remains structurally sound and displays well for any collector of German militaria.
