Description
This is an original WWII-era German issue holster for the FN Model 1922 Browning pistol, manufactured by Krieghoff and featuring the distinctive late-war hybrid construction: compressed (Presstoff) paper lower body with a leather flap and retention strap. These economy-pattern holsters were issued to German military and police forces, particularly for sidearms acquired through occupation contracts.
Inside the flap, the holster is marked with a partially legible manufacturer’s stamp reading:
“Nuur **** Browning Pistole Kal. 7,65”
The missing letters are due to wear but are consistent with Krieghoff-marked FN 1922 holsters encountered in the field. A Waffenamt acceptance mark is present, reinforcing its authenticity as a wartime-issued piece.
The leather flap shows honest age and field wear, including a cut-down retention strap (now shortened from original length), and pinholes from removed hardware or insignia, possibly postwar or field modifications. The Presstoff body retains its shape, and the stitching remains tight throughout.
This holster was designed for the FN Browning Model 1922 in .32 ACP (7.65mm)—a widely issued sidearm among the German Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe, and security services. Krieghoff-produced holsters are highly collectible due to their low production volume and transitional material use, which reflect the resource constraints of late-war Germany.
Original. Waffenamt-stamped. Scarce Krieghoff-manufactured FN 1922 holster with mixed material construction.
