Authentic WWI Imperial German Naval Officer’s Dagger – W.K.C. “Lightning Pattern” Scabbard
This original WWI Imperial German Naval Officer’s dagger is a fine example of early 20th-century German craftsmanship. The sheath Appears to be W.K.C. (Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie AG of Solingen) features the classic “lightning pattern” design, a hallmark of quality Solingen production.
The dagger features a White painted wooden grip wrapped with twisted brass wire, slightly loose from age but complete, topped by an Imperial crown pommel. The pommel is secured with a threaded tang nut, typical of period officer-grade construction. The crossguard displays a detailed fouled anchor and floral motif, signifying naval service. Its plain, unetched carbon steel blade retains much of its original nickel finish, with minor flaking near the hilt and light corrosion along the tang.
