Very Rare Original WWII German Wehrmacht Canvas Flare Shell Pouch with E.S.N. Signal Flares
Presented here is an authentic and exceptionally rare WWII German Wehrmacht flare shell pouch, complete with original E.S.N.-marked signal flares. These pouches were used by front-line troops for carrying 26.5mm Leuchtpistole (flare pistol) cartridges, critical for battlefield signaling and illumination.
The pouch is constructed of heavy field-gray canvas, reinforced with leather edging and fitted with metal hardware typical of late-war production. Interior dividers remain intact, designed to securely hold individual flare cartridges upright for quick access in combat conditions. The closure strap and belt loops are in excellent functional condition, showing only light service wear consistent with age.
Included are original E.S.N.-marked flares, produced by Ernst Schickling Nachf., a recognized German wartime pyrotechnics manufacturer. Each flare retains clear maker markings and color designations, making this an unusually complete example — as most surviving pouches today are found empty.
