Up for auction is a Portuguese made FMP G3 chambered in 7.62 NATO. this rifle is a Portuguese made licensed copy of the G3 made with tooling provided by HK to the Portuguese military. The date of manufacture according to the markings on the bolt are 4/1995. This rifle comes with a treasure trove of accessories on the rifle and on the side. On the rifle are the following: a Magpul PRS stock, upgraded PSG1 style of grip with adjustable palm rest, and upgraded and crisp single stage trigger, and M Lok forend equipped with magpul covers and a picatinny rail for a bipod. And a German Karl Kaps Asslar / Wetzlar scope sitting on a German Schubrichtung G3 scope mount. Separate from the rifle are the following: 9 HK marked 20rd G3 magazines, 1 polymer G3 20 round magazine, 1 30 round G3 magazine, 1 5 round G3 magazine (in the rifle), the original mil spec trigger pack, an HK training manual for the rifle, an HK manual for the 4×24 scope installed on the rifle, carrying case and factory target for the scope, original sling, military issued green polymer mag pouch, an unissued HK cleaning kit, 1 original green stock without metal end cap, 1 green handguard with integrated bipod, 3 sets of original skinny handguards two green and one black, 2 green pistol grips, 1 black stock with no metal end cap, 1 green stock with the metal end cap and recoil spring assy, 1 unissued pack of 5 HK magazines still in their original plastic bag, and 1 cordura rhodesian style chest rig that can hold 10 20 round G3 magazines. This rifle is a dream to handle and just radiates that cool guy 1990’s sniper rifle aesthetic. The Heckler & Koch G3 (German: Gewehr 3) is a select-fire battle rifle chambered in 7.62×51mm NATO developed in the 1950s by the German firearms manufacturer Heckler & Koch, in collaboration with the Spanish state-owned firearms manufacturer CETME. The G3 was the service rifle of the German Bundeswehr until it was replaced by the Heckler & Koch G36 in the 1990s, and was adopted into service with numerous other countries. The G3 has been exported to over 70 countries and manufactured under license in at least 15 countries. Over 7.8 million G3s have been produced.Its modular design was used for several other HK firearm models, including the HK21, MP5, HK33, PSG1, and G41.
