Metal Condition Most of the original high polish has thinned and turned to a silver patina. April 16 1912 is the final patent date shown on the barrel. Left side of the barrel just in front of the receiver shows some light pitting and bluing loss. All metal work is still tight and functional. The serial numbers and lettering are all crisp and easy to read. Stock Condition: Two piece straight grained non-checkered walnut stock and corncob forearm. Nice fit and holds tight to the frame. The stock shows a hairline crack behind the receiver on both sides that is stable and doesn’t seem to give any play. Over the top metal buttplate is nicely fitted. Bore: 22” round barrel with a drift adjustable front sight and screw adjustable rear. Inside shows a bore that is bright and shiny. it shines intensely against borelight. The rifling is strong and deep. It shows shooting use and a lovely overall condition. Action: Smooth pump .22 gallery style gun. Very tight lockup that resoundly clicks into place.
