DWM 1920 Commercial Luger chambered in .30 Luger. Lovely example of a post-WWI DWM model 1920 Commercial contract Luger. These post-war pistols were exceptionally well made in an attempt to gain new sales after the war. This model has an unmarked chamber with the "DWM" logo on the toggle.

The underside of the barrel, the left side of the barrel extension, and front toggle are all stamped with an Eagle/N commercial proof. Fixed front and rear sights and Germany stamped on the right-side frame. The magazine has a polished steel body and an unmarked wood base. Metal Condition Strong coverage with much of the original bluing intact. Some light usage marks. All metal work is tight and functional as is expected in the German Lugers. The Serial numbers and lettering are all very crisp and clear. Small parts still show lovely straw coloring. Grips Condition: Walnut two-piece grips that are hand-checkered and are non-bordered. Nicely fit with a single screw per side for retention. The left grips is chipped on the top rear just under the safety lever. Bore: 4” round tapered barrel shows a bore that is bright and shiny against borelight. The rifling is strong clean edges and sharp rifling. It shows shooting use but is clean and bright. Action: Smooth toggle action that was the design feature that set it apart. Very tight lockup that resoundly clicks into place. The single action trigger pull is both crisp and light.
