A nice example of the G-43 rifle manufactured by Germany during World War II. This particular example features many interesting features including no barrel nut, milled receiver manufactured in France, French reworked stock, adjusted for a different style sling.
Correct top hinge buttplate, firing pin remains intact and most notably, the standard scope mount has been milled off at the factory, an extremely rare variation.
Metal Condition: Majority of original bluing remains, some slight wear along hard edges. Stock Condition: 2 repairs have been noted: the wrist and center stock pin. See pictures for details. Otherwise just minor scuffs and scrapes consistent for its age. Bore: Bore is somewhat dark with frosting along the lands, distinct rifling. As to be expected for its age.
